Artists Profile- Gail Edmonds
Themes: Life drawing, figurative works and semi-abstract industrial and arid landscapes
Mediums: Acrylic, charcoal, oil, water color, ink and mixed media.
About My Work
I paint to express what I feel and see from my unique vision of the world and translate these expressions on canvass. I paint because I find it absorbing, challenging and satisfying. At present I am inspired by the colors, texture and atmosphere of the Australian outback and industrial scenes such as around Stockholm, Newcastle; both scenes being complex and beautiful. I am inspired by drawing and painting the human form.

After a chance meeting with Gail in her local area “Hunters Hill” Aashiya heard Gail was a painter and decided to look at some of Gail’s work. She immediately liked everything about Gail’s work from her Charcoal Nudes to her colorful African women and asked Gail if she would exhibit at the opening of the Drummoyne Gallery. Aashiya is very pleased Gail accepted and knows you will enjoy the diversity of Gail’s paintings just as she did.
