Natalie Boog
Natalie is inspired by her love for anything quirky; the
emotions, colour and design captured, evoke the strength and beauty
of women, and the exhilarating and inspirational elements that
appear in everyday life.
Her illustration style merges hand sketching and detailed drawing
with computer design. Pixel and vector based graphic programs allow
fabric elements and background details to be combined with original
drawings - layer upon layer.
Natalie's creativity and love for drawing and painting began at a
young age - she always knew that artistic endeavors and
inspirational creations would play a part in her future.
Natalie was born in Brisbane before moving to Switzerland where
she grew up throughout her childhood and teens.
After years of
drawing the female form and fashion she declined an offer to study
fine art in Switzerland, instead she moved to Australia to study
fashion design. Upon graduating Natalie won the Highest Achievement
Award, a scholarship studying a semester at prestigious Polimoda
fashion college in Florence, Italy. Brimming with creative
inspiration Natalie returned to Australia to work in the fashion
industry in addition to starting her own freelance print design and
illutration business, specialising in graphics, illustration,
placement and repeat design for clothing.
